The Passing of Ashley F. Fittz, PDDGER, PAVP, PER

Ashley FitzzIt is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of Ashley F. Fittz, PDDGER, PAVP, PER. Ashley was Exalted Ruler of the Santa Maria Elks Lodge #1538 in 1995-1996, VP of the district in 2005-2006 and DDGER of the district in 2007-2008.
A member of 45 years, he believed strongly in what the Elks stood for. His service with the Elks started as an Officer in the Santa Maria Lodge 1538 where he began as an Inner Guard, going through the Officers Chairs to becoming Exalted Ruler 1995-1996.
He previously expressed his good fortune to have been blessed with a very supportive wife, Eddie, of 45 years. He is survived by his wife Eddie, two beautiful daughters, a wonderful son, their spouses and numerous grandchildren.
Ashley began his life in Chicago, Illinois; then relocating to Seattle, WA via a stay in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge as an FTG3.
His civil career began with the Boeing Company as an Electronics Technician and he obtained his degree in Industrial Electronics while there and continued his education earning Associates Degrees in Science, Art, Communication Technician, Industrial Service Technician and Industrial Electronics. A licensed Ham Radio Operator Ashley was active in the Siren testing and retired as a Systems Analyst.
Ashley Fittz passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015. There will be a graveyard service on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Santa Maria Cemetery with a Memorial reception to follow at the Foxenwood Club House, 110 Foxenwood Dr., Santa Maria, 93455.
